Professional Background and Expertise
Dr Katherine Adams has worked in clinical research determining the benefits and effects of a new schizophrenia medication for those with schizophrenia from 2023-2024 in Miami Gardens, FL. Dr. Adams graduated with a bachelor’s in science degree in biochemistry cum laude from the university at buffalo. Dr. Adams then went on to go to medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After medical school, she entered a traditional rotating internship in medicine at Palmetto General Hospital, where she decided on going into psychiatry as a specialty and was accepted into Georgetown University Hospital's psychiatry residency that she completed in 2013.
Dr. Katherine Adams is an inpatient, crisis management, and stabilization psychiatrist working within the hospital as the psychiatric Medical Director.
